A really lovely RSPB reserve that wasn't too far to drive from Edinburgh. The visitor centre was open when we visited and the staff were exceptionally friendly and pointed us to the telescope where we were able to see one of the last ospreys of the year before they migrate. There are several hides to observe the wildlife and binoculars can be hired from the centre if needs be. The car park is open 24/7 and the reserve can be accessed when the visitor centre is open - especially useful in winter or for early risers. There are a number of trails of different lengths and ability levels and the Leafy Loop is wheelchair/mobility device/pram friendly, although I would advise caution when the weather is wetter. Accessible toilet facilities, baby changing facilities and a picnic area all available. Overall I'd highly recommend!

Loch and hillside paths and cycle trails around the loch, make for a great all round day out for birdwatching, walking or leisure cycling. The reserve site includes wetland bird hides, onsite shop, cafe, toilets, and parking with electric charging points. Easy access from M90 leaving at Junction 5.

Fantastic place for a day out. Great cafe that is accessible for wheelchair users and serves toasties, sandwiches, baked potatoes, cakes, scones and ice cream. The Wetland Trail can be rather bumpy and challenging for wheelchair users because it is surfaced with rolled stone and can be uneven in some places. The accessible toilets are very comfortable.

Lovely place to stop and have a bite to eat, great cafe. Woodland trail is lovely (it is a little steep in places). The hides are lovely places to enjoy the peace and quiet and spot some of the lovely local wildlife.

Walked round the lake. Lovey time. All on the level, supported Osprey, water vole, deer, hare, caterpillars, and lots more.

Love visiting RSPB Loch Leven. Love walks. Shop is great for buying gifts or items for my garden. Bird feeders are really good value for money and very well made. Lots of birds in the area, red squirrels and butterflies at various times of the year. Cafe and public toilets also on site. I'd highly recommend a visit.

Lovely visitor centre and reserve. Enjoyed a nice lunch (with the bonus of seeing a bat wake up and being shepherded out by the staff), then over to the hides. Highlight was an osprey but plenty of geese and a variety of water fowl were to be seen. Couldn't spot any red squirrels though.

Lovely walk at the weekend with my nephews. Easy to find, plenty parking, great cafe and the staff were very friendly and helpful. 😊 We walked for about an hour and a half with the boys, different trails with different levels of difficulty.
